This past weekend we took the family to the worlds best waterpark, "Shlitterbaun". At first my weight wasnt really on my mind but when we arrived, it was all I could think about. Here I was a big bowl of who knows what, standing in line with all these small people, waiting to ride a ride. All I could think to myself was "please let this tube hold me".
The first ride I rode was called "The Dark Knight". Its pretty much like a black hole ride. When my friend and I got into the tube, I was thinking to myself "please dont get stuck in the tube". At the beginning of the ride we got stuck on the lip but was able to push off. The rest of the ride went fine. When we got to the bottom, I had a hard time getting out of the tube. I actually had to roll out of it in front of about 20 people that were standing around. It was really embarrassing.
Since I was so weight conscience, I decided to spend the rest of the day in the wave pool while my friends and family had a blast.
On Sunday we got up and went back to the waterpark to do other things there. On our first ride (my only ride), I had a really hard time. I got in the tube and headed off down the ride only to get stuck going over every waterfall and then flipping out of my tube at the bottom of each fall. I always had a hard time getting back into the tube, only to fall out again. On top of that, my bottoms would fall down. I had to sit in the water to try and discreetly pull them back up while getting run over by others on tubes that were having fun on the ride. By the time the ride was over, I got out, lowered my sunglasses and cried silently while the rest of my group went on the next ride and I waited for them.
The rest of the day was spent like that as well. I sat out while everyone went on the rides. When I would get hot, I would go hang out in the wave pool alone, so that I could cool off. I had never had such a bad time at a water park. Im not sure if I did it to myself by being so self conscience or what the deal was but Im so happy I wasnt in any pictures during this trip.
